Ibotta - Better than coupons?

I received a text the other day from a friend that at first I ignored. It said something to the effect...download the free Ibotta app and get cash back on groceries.

Later that night I was bored and hit download and to my surprise spent about 30 minutes on the app. Here is a quick overview from the Ibotta Site:

1. Join Ibotta

Sign up for Ibotta - it’s quick and free!

2. Unlock Rebates

Before you shop online, unlock cash back rewards on great products by completing simple tasks.

3. Shop Online

Use the Shop Now button on Ibotta.com to visit your favorite retailer websites and make purchases.

4. Get Cash

Your purchase is verified within 5 days and cash is deposited into your account within two weeks.

To my amazement, it really is that simple. So much easier than clipping coupons and having to take them to the store. I unlocked several rebates by either watching a short video or reading a fact about the product. Next I went shopping at my regular grocery store, scanned the items into the app, took a picture of my receipt and an hour later got a confirmation that my cash rewards were in my account. Pretty cool stuff.

I have looked online and there are stories of people getting $10, $20, $50 and even hundred back in cash rebates through Ibotta.

The only drawback is the limited items. My store(Tom Thumb) only had 86 available rebates between $.20-$2.00. It appeared that Walmart had hundreds of items with cash rebates. I was pleased to see that there were several items available that I already use, so I dont have to try new stuff or change brands.

If you are interested in giving it a try use the following refferal link. You can get reffferal bonuses by sharing with friends. https://ibotta.com/r/wuycnpf
